Friends of Doubletrees School
Friends of Doubletrees is a parent-led charity (1027045) who are passionate about ensuring our learners have maximum opportunities. They work hard to raise funds for tailored experiences, equipment and extracurricular activities for our learners, and the funds raised are used solely to benefit the children at Doubletrees School.
The charity organises regular fundraising activities and events such as quiz nights, table-top sales, bingo, Zumba, bag packing, beer, wine & cider tasting with plenty of raffles!
Friends of Doubletrees have paid for many items, including sensory theatre experiences, outdoor play items, specialist seating equipment and a school defibrillator. They ensure every learner at Doubletrees benefits from their funding efforts.
Thanks to Friends of Doubletrees, in June, we were able to welcome Drums4Fun into school to deliver a music workshop to all our learners.
Drums4Fun provides sensory, therapeutic and energetic percussion experience workshops that promote and improve mental health, self-esteem and well-being and which are dedicated to promoting inclusion and connection through social interactive groups using expression, rhythm and music.
Our learners gain so much from experiences such as this, and we could not access these without the support from Friends of Doubletrees.
