Morning arrangements

Learners arrive at school between 9.15am and 9:25am ready to start the school day at 9:30am.. According to advice in their EHCP’s, most learners are transported to and from school by taxi or minibus, although parents may bring their own children if they wish. Transport is arranged by the Children, Schools and Families directorate, based at County Hall in  Truro. The passenger assistants and drivers accompany the children to school where they are greeted by school staff. If there are any problems regarding transport arrangements please contact the Passenger Transport Unit on: 01872 322003 (access via the Council's information centre).

Lunchtime arrangements

Hot meals are available in school. These are prepared and served by our School cook. Although we encourage all children to have a hot meal, provision is made for children to bring in a packed lunch.  This should be brought to school in a named lunchbox or similar container. Please refer to the Parent Information tab to view an example of our daily menu options.

School meals should be paid for regularly in advance (weekly, half termly or termly as you wish).  We use Parent Pay for a variety of paid activities including school meals. Please contact the school for your parent pay passwords, and log in to activate and finalise your account. Please top up on a regular basis under the relevant section, for either school meals or for any other notified event that we may be holding within, or outside of school such as trips.

Any parent who feels that their child may be entitled to free school meals should contact the Free School Meals Department, Schools Section, County Hall (0300 1234 100) or contact us and we will be happy to help you.

End of day arrangements

The school day ends at 3:30pm. Departure times are staggered slightly after this time in order to alleviate congestion outside school and to ensure that pupils leave the school in a safe, calm manner.  Learners are called by tannoy to the foyer from their classrooms when their transport is ready to collect them.  School staff escort them to meet the transport personnel who ensure that all learners on their bus are present before loading the vehicle and leaving the premises.
