Happy 'Hump Day' Cafe
Cherry Class have been very busy this week planning for their Happy Hump Day Café enterprise initiative. We run the cafe every Wednesday. First they collected orders from across the school staff team. Next they used their developing data handling skills to write lists of what they needed. Finally they were all actively engaged in wearing their PPE and making bacon and vegetarian baps for the staff team. Here we are in the school kitchen organising the bacon and veggie products to be cooked. We then went back to class for the slicing and buttering up of baps. This work also supports the learning they are doing in RE about the link between religion and food: Cherry Class have been learning about religions and dietary requirements where people eat meat, are vegetarian or vegan.
